  • LucasArts Re-Releases

Rumor has it that some very popular and very old LucasArts games are going to be re-released tomorrow. Classics such as X-Wing, TIE Fighter, Secret of Monkey Island, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, and Sam Max Hit the Road (which are difficult to run on modern PCs) are rumored to be among those released. Potentially KOTOR as well, but that's not quite as old.

As of right now all links lead to dead pages, but enough people saw them to suggest it is a possibility. If the rumors are right it's looking like $10 per game.

Jeez, it only took decades, but two of the finest space combat games - not to mention best Star Wars games - of all time are about to get a re-release.

Download the best games on Windows & Mac. A vast selection of titles, DRM-free, with free goodies, and lots of pure customer love.

That would be so awesome. I logged so many flight hours in TIE Fighter years ago... oh man. How this introvert spent the teenage years. LOL

And a re-release of KOTOR for Win8 would be great since it's not playing nice with my new laptop.

Several games were re-released on Steam over the past year-ish, at least upgraded for Win 7, unsure about Win 8. I know it included the KOTOR games and the Dark Forces / Jedi Knight series. I didn't check yet how they all played out on Win 7, nor Win 8 though.

I spent weeks playing KOTOR and KOTOR II. Having TOR and other games available now though would keep me from going back to them, though I did enjoy both.

            Video - thanks Adam

              Gonna download KOTOR for sure!

TIE Fighter's description says a joystick is required and I've never had much luck at installing and calibrating one successfully. So, if someone buys it, let me know if you can run it with a mouse!

Give me KOTOR on a console like the X-Box One with updated graphics (instead of the ipad) and I will worship LucasArt for all of eternity.
