    I hate Hutts.

The stench of a Hutt could be smelt from a mile off. Unfortunately for him, Teru had decided to seek long-term employment with one, though he paid as little mind to it as he could as a Duros thrall brought him into the large audience chamber of the great crime lord. A room worthy of a creature of such stature. Lanky, dark-eyed with a head of messy, brown hair, Teru stood casually with hands in pockets as he inspected his surroundings with intrigue and an air of cynicism. A cigarette hung loose from the corner of his mouth, as one often did, and he took a moment to enjoy a heavy puff before the formalities began, the hot, tar aroma of which provided a welcoming distraction from the bitter stench of Hutt.

Vaago eyed the newcomer and knew from personal experience that it was hard to judge someone by their appearance, though some things could readily be confirmed. This one hated being here which meant that business could be concluded without much preamble and that suited Vaago just fine. He had a world to conquer and a small empire to govern. His bass voice cut through the quiet now that the band had just finished another number, the protocol droid at his left then turned his photoreceptors to the applicant.

"The Mighty Vaago bids you welcome and wishes to know what you're qualifications are for the position that you're applying for?"

Eyes from the collection of attractive, scantily clad females perched before Vaago on the hover couch and his guards posted at either side. The lieutenants and their entourage all lingered in the shadows of the galleries to either side, obscured by faint light allowing the cone of intense light to focus on the guest, standing atop the large, ornate rug on the floor.

He could feel the intrusive eyes of each and every scumbag in the room focussed inexorably on his person, but he paid no mind. He had grown accustom to being in the limelight from his previous employment of a very similar nature, but it did not stop him from having a severe distaste towards it. The harshly synthesised voice of the protocol droid rang out through the audience chamber. Teru grinned a little at the slight courteousness. If droids were capable of sarcasm, he thought, it would surely be present here, and he wondered how many times a day it was programmed to 'welcome' strange nobodies who stumble into his master's pits. Taking another puff of his cigarette, his lowered head raised, his eyes meeting large, green orbs of the Hutt lord.
"I served with Black Sun for seven years, dealing with station and ship commandeering, assassination, sabotage, and arms and contraband trade and smuggling. I offer my services as a bounty hunter, but let me make something clear. I do not care about your empire or your business, and I want no part of it other than through my own personal dealings. I am here to kill or arrest those who you want killed or arrested, and I can guarantee a good job will done if I am compensated accordingly."

A true mercenary, Vaago mused. Problem with these types was, once someone else came along with a better offer they were gone. Though he had other more qualified bounty hunters that could take care of that issue as well. But, for now, he liked this one. Nodding, the large Hutt then continued and let his protocol droid translate once more.

"His Eminence appreciates your honesty and always has openings for someone of your caliber. Enjoy all that Drifters offers and when you're ready, apply for a contract on the terminal."

Teru grinned beneath the shadow on his face that a combination of the chamber lighting and his wild hair created. Removing the butt of the cigarette from his mouth and dropping it to the ground, he crushed the tiny flame away with his foot, pulled out another smoke from an inner pocket of his longcoat and turned to leave without a word.
