The tune and lyrics played incessantly in Nikka's head as she wandered down the corridors of the Empire's Headquarters. It seemed to fit her situation well with what had happened with her in the last few weeks. In fact it fit perfectly. Now she had to think about what kind of future she and her mate had among the Empire. As she made a left turn, she began to hum the melody to herself and then the rest of the words spilled out of her softly.
So now I come to you
With open arms
Nothing to hid
Believe what I say

This empty house seems so cold

As she finished, she wondered if anyone nearby would hear as toward the end, her voice was more audible, but seeing how it was so late, it didn't bother her. If anyone was asleep, it would surely wake them up. Turning another corner, Nikka yawned. The long day was certainly getting to her now as she was growing a little tired now.

Xavier slowly walks down a hallway perpindicular to the one Nikka is strolling down. He slides his hand back through his hair and raises an eyebrow as he hears the song. He turns the corner slowly, not walking towards Nikka but infront of her. His neck crack quietly as he turns it from side to side slowly.
The Sith Knight does not notice Nikka as he is a bit lost in his thoughts at the moment, his eyes locked upon the ground.

Nikka saw him step infront of her and stopped as he did so. She noticed something about him, like he seemed down about something, but she didn't want to ask.

"Oh hello Nikka.."
He smiles a bit.
"I'm fine.. just a little lost in thought. What are you doing up so late?"

Xavier uncrosses his arms and walks next to Nikka. He pushes the bottom edges of his trenchcoat back a bit before clasping his hands behind his back.
"I have not a clue. I was hoping perhaps to take on an apprentice but I do not see that happening any time soon."

She nodded in understanding and placed her hands neatly in her cloak pockets.
"Ah, I see. It will be a long time before I take on any apprentices, atleast I think so anyway. I'm only one rank from it, but I don't know if I'll ever truly be ready."

The Warrior nodded and then looked down at the floor as they kept their stride down the hall. Thoughts began to dwell on her husband, whom she thought was dead... She was actually beginning to miss him, but quickly shook it out of her mind.

Their footsteps echoed through the corridor. Nikka looked over at him and noticed him look to the ground. She wasn't sure what to say next since he seemed kind of distracted.

A flurry of mixed emotions crossed Nikka's face as he mentioned Vega's name. He was once her friend and comrade of the Empire, but even when Nikka returned, Vega seemed distant. She noticed a change within him and was sure everyone did. Nikka merely shook her head and continued on.
"Ah, I see." She shrugged slightly. "I never got the opportunity to get reacquainted with him. It's almost like he just... disappeared."

She noticed the same look from before and came to the conclusion that he was possibly troubled over the disappearance and departure of his former master. Nikka, however did not feel any remorse or regret for those who have faltered from the dark path and the Empire. There's never a guarantee that the one that leaves TSE will still follow the path of the Dark Side.
