    First Time Inside(Closed)

It had been a month since Gideon was accepted into the empire, but he never went to his room. Sure he was assigned one but never thought it necessary to go to it, he enjoyed the outdoors, camping. That’s where Gideon had been the past month camping out on the mountains a little ways away from the empire. Gideon had found a nice little cliff with the perfect view and the fullest moon you’d ever see, He would just lean back agents a rock and ponder all of his life’s choices and drift to sleep.

But that was all over now, the cool late summer nights had left and where replaced with chilling nights that came before winter. Gideon had been walking down the long hall for a while before he came to his door,

    :This is it:

Gideon pressed his thumb agents the pad next to the door which he asked for so he would have a lttle extra security and it recorded his thumbprint before the door slid open. Gideon entered the room and looked around, He saw a bed with a nightstand next to it, Desk with a data pad and light on it, and a fare size closet. Gideon started thinking out loud,

    :More then necessary:

Gideon walked over to closet and placed his newly gotten red robe on the signal hanger and walked over the bed. Gideon sat down on the bed and placed his hand crafted sword under the bed and his Dagger which was also hand crafted under his pillow for emergencies, and his temporary lightsaber on the nightstand so it wouldn’t get lost. Gideon just sat, on his bed wondering,

:What will come of me now:

:: The Sith Master walked slowly down the hallway of headquarters, a great many things in the galaxy weighing heavily on her mind. She had felt a shift in the overall balance of dark versus light and was disturbed by new presences of light which had recently emerged. Perhaps a trip was in order to investigate such things.

Pushing those thoughts aside for a moment, she decided to speak with one of the newest members of the Sith Empire. His quarters were coming up on the right hand side of the long hall and what better time to stop by than on such a clear, dark night as tonight was. Knocking three times on his door, Dara waited to see if he was there ::

The thought quickly left Gideon's mind as he heard the knocks on his door. Gideon got up walked over to the while thinking,

:What the..............Does anyone know I'm here:

Gideon opened the door and was in shock when he saw Dara Shadowtide standing in his doorway,

:Mistress Shadowtide, hello, what brings you to my door:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 09-29-2002 09:56 PM:

:: Dara gave a smile and nod to him ::

"I hadn't had the opportunity to speak with you yet, Gideon. I like to try and get to know as many of the members as I can, as well as offer my assistance should they need it. If you are busy, I can return another time."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 09-30-2002 03:44 PM:

Gideon gave Dara a nice smile back,

:Not at all just putting things where they go, please come in:

Gideon moved to the side and Dara walk in and closed the door behind her, he followed her inside and asked a question,

:So, Mistress Shadowtide, being on the counsel and fulfilling all your Sith Master obligation’s how do you still find time to visit all new Sith Disciples:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 09-30-2002 11:45 PM:

:: The Sith Master stepped inside and looked around his quarters before looking back over at Gideon with a small grin on her face ::

"It is probably due to a tightly managed schedule where at times, I hardly find time to breathe. But in all seriousness, there is always time to speak to fellow members. They are, after all, the future of the Sith Empire."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-02-2002 03:37 PM:

Gideon walked over to desk and grabbed the chair in front of it and offered it to Dara to sit in,

    :Please sit down:

Gideon sat on the bed, which was right next to the chair,

:Some day I to wish to be a Sith master and feel the joy of seeing apprentices and the empire grow to new and wonderful things:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-06-2002 12:18 AM:

:: Dara sat down and then looked across at Gideon ::

"I am certain that you will see that in your lifetime. I have been fortunate to experience a myriad of events through my tenure here at the Sith Empire. So much seems to change yet one thing always remains.. and that is the Sith Empire itself. There are a great many loyal and dedicated members here and the future looks to be one of darkness as we continue to delve out into the universe."

:: She paused, realizing the serious turn the conversation had taken and she decided to lighten it up again ::

"So, how is your training coming along? I don't see many cuts or bruises on you yet so I would wager a guess to say that you haven't had many sessions yet."

:: The Sith Master gave a mischevious grin ::

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-06-2002 09:28 PM:

Gideon grinned; he knew he had no visible injuries just a bruises rib or two,

:I've only had basic saber tactics taught to me so far, But i hope to learn the basics of the force soon:

Gideon hand was on his abdomen while he spoke but he quickly moved it off tiring not show weakness or lack of commitment to the empire.

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-06-2002 11:42 PM:

:: She noted his ginger motions around his abdomen and then grinned again ::

"I am sure that your master is presenting the skills in the order in which you will best serve to learn them."

:: Dara looked at him and realized she did not really know that much about the man yet ::

"Gideon, tell me about your homeworld and your travels here. I am interested in knowing how you found your way to the Sith Empire."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-07-2002 05:34 PM:

Gideon hated telling this story but he felt he had to,

:My home world was one of all deserts, Me and my father where the local blacksmiths for our village. We had started getting orders of swords and daggers allot all of a sudden then we figured out why. They where village Raiders staying in our village and we supplied them with the weapons they used to take over our town, but we had no idea at the time:

Gideon’s anger was building greatly as he continued his story,

:They took me with them as a hostage hoping they could more money from other villages but they wouldn't give them any. So they beat into an inch of my life and left me for dead. A search party found me barely alive, when I asked them why they came looking for me the said they weren't. They were looking for my parents, they also took them as slaves. That's when I vowed that some how some way i would become strong enough to go back sometime and kill every signal one of them:

Gideon was furious inside but he that’s where he kept it, inside, keeping for a day he might need it.

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-17-2002 11:58 PM:

:: Dara listened and could sense the strong emotions these memories of Gideon's were envoking deep within him ::

"Where are your parents now? Are they still slaves somewhere in the galaxy?"

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-19-2002 06:39 PM:

    :Who knows, I sure don't:

Gideon knew it sounded weird but he couldn't help it,

:I was never sure what happened to them, but what I do know is that when the time comes and i am trained I hope to go and find them. If I find them alive as slaves then I will kill their owners and who ever traded them and the raiders that took them, free them, then say goodbye and never see them again because I now have a new home. And if their dead so be it, I will do the same, kill everyone that had anything to do with them then come home, back to the empire where I belong:

Gideon knew what he wanted to do in the future but he knew some how it wouldn't work how he hoped.

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-21-2002 11:35 PM:

"Perhaps you could use this situation of yours to fuel the Dark Side within you and make yourself stronger from it. Pain does bring one power, Gideon. Do not forget what has happened to you or your family, instead use it to focus upon and to guide you in your future achivements on behalf of the Empire. Then one day when you are ready, you might embark on a personal journey to seek them out. I would almost assure you that some comrades may be interested in assisting you whenever that time comes."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-22-2002 04:20 PM:

    :Maybe that's what I need:

Gideon shifted his position so he would be facing Dara better,

:Lately I've been feeling that there's two sides to me, one side that still will like to show mercy and then the other one. This other side makes me feel complete hate and ultimate power. I embrace this darker side of me but I wish it were a constant and a not when I need it most kind of thing:

Gideon knew it sounded confusing, It did even to him but it's what he felt,

:When I do take my mission maybe it will give me the push over the edge I need to where I will see complete and udder darkness. But I know I won't be able do it alone so to all who will join me when this does happen I will be in complete gratitude:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-26-2002 01:58 AM:

:: Dara looked directly at him as she spoke ::

"Who is it specifically that you are feeling this 'mercy' for and when does the feeling occur?"

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 10-28-2002 08:26 PM:

:Each and everyone of my victims:

Gideon looked down a little as he continued,

:It seems like a waste of what could be every time I take a life to better myself, to better the empire. But that's it, they're not dieing needlessly and I grow with everyone and the darker presence comes out a little every time, so it's just one of those inner-demons that my past life wants to cling to:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 10-30-2002 12:37 AM:

:: Dara was indeed puzzled. She was unaccustomed to such a way of thinking but then again, a person's experiences tended to shape them into the person they were today. So she tried to address Gideon's concerns ::

"As I come to my own crossroads in life and am faced with decisions, I try to put things into perspective with regard to the Dark Side and the Sith Empire. In my opinion, merely taking a life does not better the Empire.

However if a person we encounter refuses to see the true power of the Dark Side and will not embrace its chilling depths of endless possibilities, well then perhaps it is to their own benefit for us to end such a wasted life in the galaxy. For if one cannot see that the Dark Side is everything, then they are merely prolonging the inevitable.. their own destruction. Such pathetic weakness is what has almost destroyed the universe's potential already."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 11-04-2002 03:54 PM:

    :I agree:

Sensing that the conversation was starting to get a bit to serious for him at the moment Gideon stood up and walked over to what appeared to be a small liquor cabinet he had missed when he first walked in,

:Would you care for something to drink m’lady:

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 11-05-2002 02:02 AM:

:: Dara smiled to him, sensing the conversation had perhaps become uncomfortably serious ::

"Yes, thank you. A glass of white wine would do nicely."

:: As she glances around his quarters, a small picture on the desk catches her attention. She gestures to it as he returns ::

"Who is in that picture, if you don't mind me asking."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 11-08-2002 12:14 AM:

As Gideon poured her white whine and delivered it to her there conversation was turned to the picture of a beautiful young woman on his desk. With a slight force pull the picture glided into his hand and the young disciple just looked down at it,

With all his might Gideon squeezed the picture and with sound of glass cracking he decided to share the story he never told,

:Her name was Rebecca, we were engaged when I was taken by the raiders. It turns out she didn’t love me as much as I loved her, for after a week of me being gone my best friend and her where going as a couple. When they did find me and I returned back home and saw them together they said it’s what they had planned, to get me out of the way and go after each other. Right then a there I pulled out my dagger and killed both of them, that’s why I ran and didn’t stay home, that’s why I came here, so that I may be able to experience a true life in a place where I feel at home:

Gideon released his grip on the picture and let the glass fall into a near by trash disposal, and set the picture back on the desk.

Posted by Dara Shadowtide on 11-16-2002 09:10 PM:

:: She accepted the glass of wine with a smile and took a sip. As Dara listened to the anguish in his voice as he spoke of the story of the picture in the now broken frame. Dara watched as Gideon carefully placed the picture back on the desk as her eyes returned to his ::

"Pain is power, Gideon. Use this experience to make you stronger in the Dark Side. The Sith Empire is indeed your home. I hope that you feel like it is."

Posted by Gideon Desdemona on 11-20-2002 07:45 PM:

:It does, as a matter of fact this is the place that has felt like a home to me in quite some time:

Gideon reaches into the liquor cabinet and pulls out brandy brought here by him, the only thing he brought from his home world, "Brandy Of The Panther",

:Would you like a taste m'lady? It's a special brandy from my home world:

  • #2
:: Dara looked over at Gideon and smiled ::

"Certainly. I am always up for trying something new. Where is your homeworld located? I am wondering if I have ever been there in my earlier travels in life."

    • #3
Gideon poured a small glass and handed it to her,

:There we were secluded to all knowledge out of our world, we only knew of it as the fifth planet in the twelfth solar system. Since my arrival here i was able to look in the data banks and see all others call it Dathomir:

      • #4
:: Dara smiled as she accepted the drink and then took a small sip. The flavor was unusual yet had a certain smoothness to it that was pleasing. She nodded as she continued ::

"Very nice. Ah yes.. Dathomir. That is a world well renowned for sith witches. Did you ever encounter any of the elusive sorceresses of the Dark Side?"

        • #5
Gideon felt a sense of curiousness from the Sith master, so he continued,

:Twice actually, but seeing as I’m still here they where both on semi-pleasant terms:

Gideon reached into his pocket and pulled out a piece of paper with an inscription on it in some form of language he did not know,

:Back when i was still the blacksmith on Dathomir a women came to me with the most pathetic looking piece of metal I have ever heard be called a sword. She told me to do everything i could on it, and make t look like something that would rival the sword of the king, and that money was not a problem. After extensive work for two months it was finished, but the [i]incident]/i] happened with the raiders before it could be returned. When I fled Dathomir i was able to find the women, and when i gave her the sword and told her what had happened, she said a few words in a language i did not know, and handed it back to me. Little did I know at the time she had cast a spell the turned it into a Sith Blade:

Gideon pointed to the wall where it hung, and then took a drink before continuing,

:After that she handed me this piece of paper, the text is written in the same language i do not know, she told me she saw great potential in me, and that if i where ever become a Sith i am to learn this language and become the rank of a Knight. After becoming a user in the powers of the elements fire and ice i am to read this spell before the sword, and it would invoke the powers of fire and ice into the blade:

Gideon knew his story was a little farfetched, but he thought Dara might be of some assistance in this subject, and handed the piece of paper to her,

:Maybe you could get me started on where i might be able to find something an how to speak this language later:

          • #6
:: Dara listened to his story regarding the woman from Dathomir and looked upon the finely crafted weapon. As Gideon handed the paper to her, she scanned the ancient runes on it and then passed the well worn document back to him with a smile ::

"I would be glad to assist you in researching and deciphering the text. The Sith Empire archives has a section on ancient languages that would prove most helpful."

            • #7
Gideon took the piece of paper back and returned the smile,

:Thank you, i will entirely grateful for your assistance:

              • #8
:: The Sith Master smiled and nodded ::

"It would be my pleasure. Tell me, have you ever been to the Archives of the Empire before?"

                • #9
A slight show of embarrassment showed on his face,

:Yes i have, but i was unable to find anything on it. Computers are not really my specially:

                  • #10
"Ah, but there are not just databases of information within the halls of the archives. The entire history of the Sith Empire lies within the shrine to the Dark Side. You will also find holopaintings and biographies of all the past leaders throughout time as well as some sith artifacts."

                    • #11
:It sounds like such an interesting place, i am disappointed i did not have more time to look around when i was there last:

                      • #12
"I always find it quite intriguing seeing the past through the eyes of those who lived it. Without fail, I also tend to find something that catches my attention which has not done so before."

:: She gave a grin which revealed nothing, yet meant everything in respect to her recent disoveries ::

                        • #13
Gideon nodded slightly at her. There was always a feeling he got from talking to the elder TSE members, the feeling that they know everything about everything from the past and the future, yet they can have the present slip right by them.

:But i am sure that there is little you do know:

Gideon's thoughts raced abut his hypothesis while he sipped on his drink.
