Disciples of the DarkestStar attend me!

    The masters teaching had been widely sought and his crop of disciples numbered ten or more;

Sitting at a large table he had reserved specially Darius waited for them to arrive, he knew none of them and he thought a gentle introduction was in order before he was draughted by the master to participate in their training; one session could cause them to dislike him slightly, so making a good impression now would be essential.

Smiling slightly as he remembered some of his training he envied the newcomers the experiance they were to endure.

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-28-2002 08:50 AM:

A large dark man entered the room, his 2 meter-plus. 120 kilo frame engulfed the door as he passed through he had gotten a message from Darius Van-Derveld to meet him at Rama's.

So this is the infamous Darius that master has wanted me to become aquainted with. Talus began to size up his fellow disciple. They seemed to be about equal in build, Talus having a slight advantage in height and he was fairly sure in weight as well, but as he was slowly learning, in the Sith Empire size means your just a bigger target. Talus strode quickly and quietly across the bar floor his large strides cutting the distance to Darius quickly. As he approached he nodded his head and spoke; "I recieved your summons Mr. Van-Derveld. I am Talus, m'lord has spoke of you quite often in my training and quite highly. In fact he wanted me to meet you, this little get together wouldn't be his idea now would it?"

Talus pushed back his long black overcoat and awaited Darius' answer.

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-28-2002 09:21 AM:

Grinning delightedly at the sheer size of the disciple before him Darius knew that he faced the one known as Talus even before the giant spoke.

Extending his hand in the warriors fashion he smiled.

"Yes, I am Darius, its good to meet the promising young Talus, the master has mentioned you and no...this was my idea, I have may be called upon to participate in the training of some of the younger disciples and I just want to meet them before I actually 'meet' them."

Smiling to himself he gestured Talus to a chair to the right of his own and sat down, all he had to do was wait for them all, tose who didnt show, would be spoken to.

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-28-2002 12:22 PM:

"Lord Darkstar has already infromed me of our future "formal" introduction, he said it will be an excellent test to see just how advanced I am. I apologize and forgive you for any future injuries we will deal to each other when that day comes." Talus grinned as the words came out of his mouth. He was confident and still a bit arrogant, but his progress and training with Lord Darkstar was giving him enough reason to be.

He seems to be as cocky as I am. Good our strength combined with Lord Darkstar's training will elevate the empire.

"Would you care for a drink, I'm having a Correlian Scotch and water." Talus signaled over to the server droid to come take Darius and his order.

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-28-2002 01:06 PM:

Eyes sparkeling with mirth, Darius nodded at the offer of a drink and slouched into a chair at the top of the table.

"How did you meet the Master anyway?"

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-28-2002 05:19 PM:

As the droid came over Talus ordered two scotches and waters, then sent it on its way.

    Good question...

"He spared my life during my recruitment registration, he said he saw something in me that was promising and offered to break me of my arrogance and teach me how to weild the force in exchange for loyalty. I realized how powerful he was and how much he could teach me so I agreed and now I'm his disciple." As he finished the droid brought their drinks, Talus paid it and took a healthy sip of his. Looking back at the slouching Darius he returned the question; "And you what's your story?"

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-29-2002 02:40 AM:

Smiling at the familliar story, as it resembled his own quite well Darius sipped from the glass placed before him.

"The master always maintains that he saw something special in me also, personally I think he enjoyed breaking me of my childish spirit,"

    Shooting Talus a sidelong glance,

"and we both know that the master takes his breaking very seriously."

Straying from the point a little, Darius slugged back the scotch and sought a way back to the point,

"Well, I saw the masters power at the outset, and his training is of the highest quality so I am here mearly to learn and improve myself."

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-29-2002 06:21 AM:

A normal seized young man entered the room and went immediately to the table, he was wearing a black cloak, face drowned by the shadows and his hood, arms covered by his sleeves.. without making a noise, he made his way to a chair and setteled, still silent. As the server-droid came towards him, he lifted his hand and the server-droid made his way back.

Xam watched the other apprentices, who yet were here.. A big musceled man was sitting next to him.. In front of him he knew Darius Van-Derveld was sitting there, Xam had known his father for a short time.

"So you must be a lupine too, let's hope it isn't full moon this evening.": Xam said with his deep, cool voice.

Posted by Macros on 08-29-2002 10:13 AM:

Macros appeared amongst the group, he had entered a while ago but had been watching from the shadows, in order to informally figure out who was who. The surface hid his emotions well. The anger he felt was strong; many things had happened in his short life. His young eyes sparkling with mischief he spoke, his voice giving him a more experienced appearance than his youthful face. He turned to the big brute towering above him.

"Hey, Im Macros, and you are?"

Nodding his head to Xam; his training partner, a drink found his way into his hand. He knew who Darius was...He'd been threatened with him by Darkstar already. He eyed him up...Shrugging, he took a drink from his 'borrowed' glass..

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-29-2002 10:22 AM:

Xam felt the presence of Macros, it was Macros' anger, which constantly increased.. He turned his face toward him and nodded. There was a special bond between Xam and him..

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-29-2002 11:56 AM:

The appearance of the two disciples was a step forward, and with any luck, the rest would turn up soon.

Turning to Xam the first disciple who had spoken he sized him up; his body was shrouded in black and his face was hidden by a cowl, snorting at the disrespect in the youths voice he pointed a clawed finger at his chest.

"It matters not a jot if the moon is full, I could eat you on the brightest summers day with little effort."

    Turning to the slightly more polite Macros he introduced himself;

"I am Darius, it is good to meet you," turning his head to Xam, "both of you."

Shooting a glance at Talus he smiled and raised his eyebrows as if sharing a joke.

Posted by Macros on 08-29-2002 03:13 PM:

"And you too, I've heard a lot about you from Darkstar himself. Mainly threats of course, so I'm sure I'll be seeing you soon soon, probably on the wrong end of your saber."

Macros laughed, he was in high spirits tonight. He finished off his drink and relieved a passer-by of his money pouch, dropping it secretely into one of his many pockets and drifting to the other side of the group.

"So, how many more to come?"

He nudged Xam, whispering in his ear.

"I'd try and give a better impression if you can, not that I'm a master of that myself..."

He discreetly slipped another drink off another passing droid...

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-29-2002 03:42 PM:

Eyes twinkeling at Macros' subtle activities and his attempt to keep the peace, Darius finished his drink and glanced quickly around the room.

    Grunting softly,

"There are about ten of us in all, so about six, if I'm lucky,"

Ordering another drink from a passing droid he faced the newcomers,

"so, tell me how you met the master."

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-29-2002 04:31 PM:

Xam silently laughed when Macros whispered those words in his ears..

"You're not at all a master at it . But I don't like to give comments, it is not my job to do that. I am always like this when meeting new people.."

Xam had removed his hood and watched both, Macros and Darius.

"Indeed Macros, we will see Darius' lightsaber at training and I am actually looking forward to it."

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-29-2002 11:04 PM:

Talus reached towards Macros and placed a hand on his shoulder grasping it firmly, his second hand opened in a recieving position.

"We are Sith, not common thieves, give me the bag so that it may be returned to its rightful owner." He then smiled at both the new apprentices; "My name is Talus, and I believe Darius has asked you a question, it would be polite to answer it promptly and concisely, otherwise, you may not look as forward to sparring with him, as you do now."

Talus then grinned at Darius; "Mr. Van-Develd, we are all friends here, Xam will soon learn of your abilities to "consume" him without us pressing the issue here in this fine establishment." He finished his sentence with a laugh and a wink and ordered another round of drink for himself and Darius, seeing that Macros the Grifter was providing his own.

Posted by Xenodoros Stormrider on 08-30-2002 12:18 AM:

"Mr. Van-Derveld", Xeno heard Talus say. Xeno's mind lit up, as the name was mentioned.

The tall man entered Rama's where he had gained friendships with many. Xeno was not the social type, but the Sith seemed to relate to him. As the boots tapped on the floor as he walked in, Xenodoros' silver, shining hair reached his shoulder. Xeno had brought gloves for once; it was not very often that Xeno brought something to cover his knuckles. Xeno's misty, blue eyes reflected the light of Rama's Corner. Approaching the small crowd where he saw Talus, Xeno said to himself:

    "These must be the people."

Xenodoros had gotten a message from DarkStar that he was to meet the other Disciples at Rama's. But approaching the small crowd, he observed Darius. Darius seemed quite familiar to him for some reason. But Xeno could not put his finger on it. Looking at Talus, he asked:

    "Mr. Van-Derveld?"

    The Stormriders

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-30-2002 01:09 AM:

"Ah, hello Xeno, was wondering when you'd arrive, yes this is the infamous Darius Van-Derveld, have you two met?" He said as he nodded towards the new arrival.

"I was just informing my little sticky fingered friend here, that Sith have better things to do than pick the pocket of a harmless drunk. Don't you agree?" Talus asked as he looked at Xeno.

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-30-2002 02:52 AM:

Witholding the urge to fall about laughing at Talus' words, Darius maintained his veneer of composure and crossed to Xenodoros.

"Welcome, yes, I am Darius, thank you for attending this little get together, please sit."

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-30-2002 06:30 AM:

Xam looked at the man who entered. It was a stranger in his eyes but Xam didn't mind.

Sorry Talus, I thought that Darius only asked the question to Macros..

"I met Lord DS in the recruitement hall and I had a very good impression of him. In the end I ended up with him as my master. I am really proud of being as apprentice, as you all are"

OOC: sorry if I was a bit grumpy but I was in a very bad mood, I had to re-install my whole PC...

Posted by Macros on 08-30-2002 07:33 AM:

Taking one look at the giant in front of him his hands went straight to his pockets. Insulted at being called a common thief he took out a bag looking exactly the same as the 'borrowed' one and smiled innocently as he handed it to Talus. He slipped behind Darius just in case he discovered it was full of rocks...

Turning to Darius he spoke nervously.

"I'd not had the honour of meeting Darkstar before our 'training'. I saw the list and he stood out as the one I wished to be trained by. A Master Assassin I hear? My type then."

Smiling at Xam, he passed him a drink.

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-30-2002 11:42 AM:

Xam took the drink and watched it.. Xam and Macros were like twin brothers, a team. This was also the point of this reunion, to make alliances with the other apprentices but there was allready one thing that made us like brothers.. Lord Darkstar.

A smile appeard on Xam's face..

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-30-2002 11:57 AM:

ooc* Hey Xam when RPing don't make mention to the fact that this is a board and we are posting and writing in threads, you are supposed to write this as if it were a novel with many different authors. just a mental heads-up

Talus crushed the bag of stones in his hand and then poured the dust on the bar room floor. "Do you really believe Darius would stay my hand, if I wanted to teach you some manners? You have much to learn. Keep the money if it pleases you, just don't ever let me catch you grifting again." Talus' tone went from mirth to a near growl as he spoke those words. He had lived on the streets before, but he made his money as honestly as he could, albeit it was as an enforcer for a Hutt, still he did not rob people.

Turning back towards Darius he smiled again; "If my introduction of you is amusing do not stifle a laugh, as our friend Xam here said, we are all here to be friends."

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-30-2002 12:32 PM:

Xam looked at Talus for a moment, behind this big looking guy there was a very proud soul. A good combination..
Xam took a drink and turned to Macros.

    "Come and sit Macros."

Posted by Macros on 08-30-2002 02:34 PM:

    Macros sat down, giving Talus an indignant glance. He felt upset now..It was hard to earn an honest living as an orphan. You earn next to nothing for a hard days work. Old habits die hard. Taking Talus' dagger out of his pocket he threw it him. Snorting he said;

"Common thief indeed! Don't ever call me that again, or for your sake I hope you sleep lightly."

Ignoring the fuming giant he turned to Xam. Spilling the contents of the pouch on the table he counted the credits.

"Hey, you want some, I'm guessing you aint got much either."

He sensed Talus behind him, his hand instinctively going to his knife. From behind he appeared relaxed, but every part of his body was prepared to defend himself if needs be...

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-30-2002 02:58 PM:

Slamming a hand down onto the table he called the meeting to a sort of order.

"That will do, get a drink, both of you and let things pass,"

    Turning to macros;

And dont even think of drawing that.

Posted by Talus Invictus on 08-30-2002 03:09 PM:

"Not wise to make a threat to a Sith, I might decide to eliminate it before it can come to pass. But I agree this is neither the time nor the place for this, perhaps later in a more dignified manner than a common bar fight, althought it may suit your style. And the knife your hand is on wouldn't even make it out of the sheath before I snapped your neck." Talus then pulled up a chair and sat, ordering another drink.

"You've called this meeting to order then?" He said as he spoke to Darius.

Posted by Macros on 08-30-2002 03:13 PM:

Macros relaxed, Darius could keep order.... Turning back to Xam he waited...

Posted by Xenodoros Stormrider on 08-30-2002 07:09 PM:

Xeno laughed at both Macros and Talus. To Xeno, it was as if little kids were fighting over something. Looking at everyone around, he said:

"Greetings, I am Xenodoros Stormrider. Most call me Xeno."

He looked at Talus and answered his question:

"Being a thief isn't a bad thing. When you're poor and have nothing, it's the only way you can survive. But you must not abuse of it."

Still puzzled at the Van-Derveld being there, Xeno looked at Darius and asked:

    "Any relation with Vega Van-Derveld?"

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-30-2002 07:21 PM:

Xam had been listening amused to Talus and Macros, he watched the money on the table but didn't touch it, he even didn't want to have it.

    "Hello Xeno"

These were the only words Xam said, he had never been the talking type..

Posted by Danya Argent on 08-30-2002 11:58 PM:

Danya sauntered into the Bar and looked about...not recognizing anything. Her spirits were low...ever since one particular night. Now she felt like a puppet on a used for beating knowledge into...yet she felt useless.

    "Greetings Darius..."

She nodded to the rest of the group and silently took an empty seat across from her blood relative. She shifted her gaze to the table top and held it there...not saying another word to anyone else...

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 08-31-2002 01:11 AM:

    Leaning in to Talus, he whispered;

Just a little while longer, still some left to arrive, but soon.

    Flicking his gaze up to Xeno;

"Yes, Vega Van-Derveld is my father."

As if summoned by the family name, a slender figure entered the bar and sat down; as detatched as he liked to think of himself, Darius couldnt help the slight lessening of tension in him as Danya came close.

Leaning over he took one of her hands and smiled,

"Its good to see you again Danya, its been such a long time..."

Posted by Xenodoros Stormrider on 08-31-2002 01:42 AM:

Xenodoros greeted the others as they greeted him.

"Nice to meet you", he said to those that he met. He looked at Darius speaking to Danya and interrupted

"Your father you say? I hope you're not half the man your father is. Or else, we wouldn't get along that well. Let's just hope that things go well. Last time I saw your father, he tried to give me up to those stupid Jedi"

Xeno moved away and turned to the others still greeting.

Posted by Danya Argent on 08-31-2002 02:48 AM:

Danya smiled half-heartedly as Darius took her hand in his own. It was good to be with family once again...for she had a particular liking for Darius. Her gaze shifted out the window of the Bar and then back to if remembering that he had actually spoken to her.

"Yes, it has been too long..."

She said softly, noting that they had not seen one another in several months. Their training was progressing, no doubt...and it would be interesting to catch up....

Posted by Macros on 08-31-2002 05:31 AM:

Macros shrugged at Xam, if he didn't want it then it meant more for him. He eyed Xeno with respect...he sounded like he new what he was on about.

He nodded to Danya, wondering if she was another lupine...he was growing a dislike for them...

Posted by Xam Feldek on 08-31-2002 05:37 AM:

    Xam saw danya enter..

"Hello, how are you. I'm Xam Feldek." :he said with a dark tone in his voice.

Posted by Drako on 08-31-2002 05:16 PM:

DarkStar sat, alone in his booth, silent and deadly, watching and listening. His hearing was enchanced with the Force allowing him to hear every word that was said at the table but without any of them knowing he was there.

Except perhaps Darius, the lupine had been around him alot longer than the others and there was a chance he would be able to pick his master's Force signature out of the discuise he had placed around it.

He knew this was a meeting for the apprentices though and he knew Darius wouldn't blow his cover for the simple reason it was Darius that wanted to know the others without the dominating figure of the Sith Lord hovering over them.

    Posted by Danya_Argent on 08-31-2002 05:21 PM:

The Lupine smiled somewhat at the others that nodded her way. Her eyes shifted to look out the window for a moment and then back at the table. The woman was self-conscious all of a sudden.....she did not know why but she did not feel that this was her place as of now. Her gaze moved up to Darius and she smiled once again.....then let her cyan eyes move about the area of Rama's.....searching from face to face of those gathered besides her fellow Apprentices......

Posted by Darius Van-Derveld on 09-01-2002 04:06 AM:

Tearing himself away from the increasingly more distracted Danya and feeling no small amount of concern for her, Darius stood and looked down the long table where most (if not all) Darkstar's disciples were seated.

"Again, my name is Darius Van-Derveld, some of you may have heard of my fathers legacy but regardless, if you know him, or even dislike him it matters not a jot to me, family is family and if called I shall die in battle alongside them;"

Pausing to glance over at Danya, Darius continued,

"In a world where loyalty and trust are valuable comodities we, the Sith are at a disadvantage, we cannot hope to trust our fellow Sith, and we find an enemy in the Jedi order wherever we go; but, in this void of hostility we can find one rallying point, one thing that will bind us, and even protect us, and that is our master;"

Feeling a warm glow spread from his toes to his fingers, Darius realised that he was feeling pride, for the first time in his life.

"Know this, as we sit together here, we are family, I may have loyalty to my namesake but, you all are now my family and if you call I shall come and this is what I expect from all of you; you may dislike or even hate one of your brother or sister disciples, but by all that is sacred you will help them if they call you!"

Voice rising in volume and conviction Darius knoticed that he was drawing a few stares from the bars other patrons, he cared not.

"And, if you feel that you cannot do this thing, then leave now, but I an confident you will all stay, because I have seen in all of you, even in this short meeting, the qualities that are desired by this family, qualities that make me think that when the time comes, you will not fail us, or the Master himself;"

Snatching up his glass Darius raised it in toast,

Posted by Macros on 09-01-2002 05:17 AM:

    "The Darkstar"

Macros raised his glass, casting a glance at Talus as he did so..
When the toast was finished he smiled at him, offering him his hand. His time here would be hard as it was, without making an unneeded enemy in one who could be a useful ally and a good friend. He nodded solemnly to Darius, he felt stirred by his speech, and would be bound by what he had proposed untill death...

Posted by Xam Feldek on 09-01-2002 07:08 AM:

Xam nodded at the end of the speech to make clear that he agreed completely.

    "to Lord Darkstar"

He glanced at everyone, Xam actually smiled and felt very proud.
He also would be totally loyal to his master and would help his sister-brother disciples if called.

Posted by Talus Invictus on 09-01-2002 09:50 AM:

Something's not right, I have no problem toasting master, nor aiding his disciples in battle, but that was a bit too showy for it to be normal.

Talus raised his glass and spoke; "To Lord Darkstar," His voice was not as loud as the others, but it was no less heart-felt. The Dark Lord was Talus' only family and because of him he had a pre-fabricated group of siblings, a few that he might have to be pulled off of on occasion, but none that he would slay, lest the master commanded it. He did not shake Macros hand, not out of disrespect but rather as to say, "You are family, but there is yet unfinished business that must be attended to." He did smile and nodd in his direction and mouthed the words to him; "Brother".

Talus then began to gaze about Rama's. Something was bothering him, he was being watched, but he didn't know who or from where. That's what was truly bothering him. Only the most skilled Sith, Jedi or bounty hunters could follow him unnoticed, his genetic enhancements made for a wonderful alarm system in his mind.

Who the hell could be watching all of us Disciples unnoticed, none have seemed to pay any attention or look as if they were searching for someone. Darius however seems over exhuerberent, for him just to be in the company of his fellow Disciples.

Then it hit him. Darkstar, how could I be such a fool? The master had to have known we would all be together and there is no way he'd let his brood meet and not be present, even if he was unknown to us.

Turning he winked at Darius. I don't know where or how you are watching us master but I know you are.

Posted by Danya Argent on 09-01-2002 10:24 AM:

Danya listened as Darius spoke. She sighed slightly at his truths and looked about at the other disciples. She wondered what was going through their minds at this moment...she wondered how new most of them were. Darius and she had been around for a while...and most of these others, she had never seen until now. Her heart sparked a bit as he toasted, and she raised her glass....nodding slightly.

    "To my Master..."

She said softly...not as indulged in this as everyone else. Her mind was heavy and this sort of 'celebratic gathering' seemed not to be on her list of priorities. She was now indifferent...being molded into something great by the hands of one she thought surly hated her. Perhaps though....he would prove her wrong as he once said to her...

Posted by Macros on 09-01-2002 03:35 PM:

Macros withdrew his hand, insulted. He did not doubt that he would aid this giant in battle if needs be, but he did not consider him a friend. He spat. An open display at what he felt, he was only trying to undo past wrongs. Talus obviously wasn't the forgiving type. He collected the money off the table, conscious that various scum around the room thought themselves capable of taking the fruits of his thieving. Casting sharp glances at a few of them he sank back into his chair, silently thinking to himself...

I'm growing tired of this meeting. Too may smiles are forced, Darius is fooling only himself when he thinks some of these here would give their lives for each other. Darkstar would see that - I am sure, if only he was here...

He saw the private glances and winks shared between Darius and Talus, wondering what they knew that he didn't, and what right did Talus have to know something he was not told. Silently attempting to mask his anger he drew further back into the shadows; Restless. Angry. Hungry. Hungry for a kill, something he had not done in a while..

Yet another drink found it's way into his hands. Talus saw him, not that he cared. Macros would have been happy for him to say something about it...

Downing the drink he looked around. But he didn't know what for.He finished the drink; which was gradually getting to his head and then slammed the glass on the table and drank another.

    "To Lord DarkStar"

Xeno always had a certain point of view about everyone. He wasn't the type that would trust someone at the instance. Xeno thought of Darius as a bit conceited. But then again, Xeno could not say anything about himself. His attention turned to Darius once more.

"So that would mean, if your daddy told you to turn me in to the Jedi, you would gladly do it? I will just not be able to trust you. I'll have to keep an eye on you."

Xeno did not want to create a conflict, knowing that his Master would have given a punishment for a simple question asked.

"No matter. We're not here to discuss that matter here."

Danya shifted her weight in her seat, eyeing the others. She did not fit in and she knew it......perhaps coming at all had been a mistake. Shaking her head, her eyes went to Darius and she rose from her seat. Approaching him, she placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered something in his ear.

"I am leaving.....I do not feel well and being here only increases my discomfort.....I apologize, for I know you mean well. Enjoy it for me......"

She said softly, and then lowered her head, pulling the hood of her black robes to shadow her identity....and then she slowly sauntered away.....knowing that no one was paying attention to her absence....she might as well have never showed up.....

Eyes flashing to Xeno, unable to let the comment pass, Darius clenched a fist.

"I have killed at my fathers request before, but the only person you have to worry about ordering your death would be Darkstar himself and then, only then would I consider your life forfiet."

Shrugging to calm himself he turned to the gentle arm on his shoulder; as Danya walked away he felt the urge to go after her most strongly, but was left to stare after her feeling truly wretched.

Even as Danya moved to leave she heard a voice in her head, clear and strong.

    Come, sit with me,

There was a gentle pull through the Force, guiding her towards her masters booth where he sat, drink in hand quietly listening to the conversations.

As Danya left, she was suddenly aware of her Master's presence....and his voice, gentle yet strong in her mind. Her heart skipped a beat, hoping that he would not punish her for wishing to leave...but she went to into the pull of the Force that he held upon her. She arrived at his booth and lowered her head, then bowed to him and sat down across the table....her eyes upon the table top itself.....hoping that his eyes would not hold an anger toward her this day.

    "Greetings my do you fare?"

It was a stupid question, or so she thought....but it was in right manner to ask him how he was doing. Her mind wandered back to all that Darius had been saying...but then she focused on Darkstar again...still not allowing her cyan eyes to meet his...

Xeno laughed as Darius threatened him. Xeno was the type that didn't really care about the words given to him. Threats, black mail, etc. That was given to him so much that he actually got used to them. Observing Danya walk towards a figure that was a bit farther away, Xeno thought: "Oh look, Lord DarkStar's here."

He did not comment anymore on the Van-Dervelds because he thought it was enough said. He turned to Talus, and said:

"So how have things been going lately?"

Still smiling, Xeno set his hands behind himself.

Posted by Drako on 09-02-2002 04:24 PM:

DarkStar steached out with the Force, as he often did and touched Xeno's mind.

    You saw nothing

Was all the message he relayed, it would be enough. He turned to Danya with a smile and pushed the second glass, that just happened to be there across the table to her. He picked up the decanter and filled her glass with water.

"I fare well thankyou for asking, but I am more concerned with how you fare..."

Posted by Talus Invictus on 09-02-2002 04:25 PM:

"Fine as always and thank you for asking," Talus turned and looked in the same direction that Xeno did following the seemingly outcast Disciple of Darkstar's. Looking back at Xeno he mouthed; "So that's where he is..." He smiled

Talus then spread his arms wide and spoke to all of them; "I am not a wiseman nor am I a leader of this group, but I do know one thing, the sins of our fathers are not our sins, we are all children of Darkstar and the Empire, they are the only ones we have to answer too. So Xeno, Darius do not become embittered towards each other for something neither of you have control over, you parents." Turning back towards Darius he spoke again; "I believe you had a reason for calling us all here, other than to toast our master. Shall we continue with our business?"

DarkStar leaned forward and patted Danya's hand,

"Excuse me a moment young one,"

He rose from his booth like a dark terror of ancient legend, sweaping across the bar, a wave of fear spreading out before him. Finally he stopped at the table his apprentices were sat at, his face was a calm mask, but his eyes burned with fury.

"I wanted to leave this to be just my apprentices, but I have heard enough,"

His voice was a quiet hiss, as though he was having to fight back his anger, to stop himself lashing out at one or all of them.

"You are a disgrace, all of you, you sit here swearing your loyalty to each other and to me, what about TSE?? WHAT ABOUT TSE?!"

He roared, his anger spilled out at that point, shattering all the glasses and bottles on the table in a hail of glass over his apprentices.

"You are all my children you claim, then what about your fellow members of TSE, they are your bothers and sisters, your uncles and ants, your cousins. Would you run to them if they called for help, I would damn well hope so,"

His piecing and soul chilling gaze fell on each and everyone of them in turn, daring each of them to meet his gaze, to face his anger.

"Your loyalty to me is unquestionable, I can see that, any fool can see that, but even I question your loyalty to TSE, and my loyalty to the Empire is unwavering, I expect your loyalty to your home and family to be at least as great as it is to me, if any of you have a problem with that, speak now..."

His eyes once again swept the group of apprentices, daring them once again to argue, at that point any that did would probebly have been destroyed without a second thought by the enraged Sith Lord.

Talus knew to chose his words carefuly for a misspoken one would mean death.

"You are correct of course m'lord, we foolishly omitted our declarations of alliance to the Empire in our ignorant bravado and foolish toasting. In our arrogance we stupidly assumed that it was understood that your alliegence to the Empire was unyeilding and that we too have an unshakeable loyalty to the cause and purpose of the Sith Empire. We beg your forgiveness and that of the council for our mistakes." Talus eyes did not break with his master's terrible gaze. Talus was not afraid, he knew that if the master wished it he would be dead and there was nothing he could do to stop it, so why fear it.

"Just as you would slay any of us at the command of the council, we too would take arms against you at their command, begrudgingly, but never-the-less, loyally."

:: Sith Master Dara Shadowtide was running late for her meeting with Lord DarkStar. She hurridly finished the last entry in her holoreport before grabbing her cloak and making her way to the bar.

Standing at the entrance of Rama's, Dara's attention was drawn to the loud voice of Sith Disciple Darius Van-Derveld, one whom she had not seen around the Empire much. After hearing more than enough and then seeing that Lord DarkStar was busy attending to the unexpected "display", she lost her appetite and turned to leave the bar ::

Listening to Talus' words, Xeno's blue eyes threw themselves at him. Talus tried to be the one who settled things, but in the end it didn't matter what he said, because Darius' word was enough to convince Xeno that being cautious was a priority. Xenodoros did not say a word; prolonging this would make it worse.

Feeling DarkStar's presence suddenly disturb his soul, he shook his head as DarkStar's words came out in play.

"You are a disgrace, all of you, you sit here swearing your loyalty to each other and to me, what about TSE?? WHAT ABOUT TSE?!", Lord DarkStar had said with an angered tone.

"Well of course we swore our loyalty to The Sith Empire. I'm sure I did. When I first joined The Sith Empire, I had to swear my loyalty to this incredible Empire, and serve it. I have done what I have sworn so far, therefore I always keep in mind The Sith Empire. Yet I understand your disappointment. We will always be loyal to The Sith Empire.", Xeno replied before DarkStar got even angrier.

Xenodoros had sworn loyalty and respect to The Sith Empire. He tried his best to maintain it, but it had not come up in the conversation. Xeno was not the type who would come about and shout for no reason. Yet his loyalty remained.

Xeno eyed the doorway of the bar. He always did; he had a tendency of doing this. He had observed a cloaked woman. It was indeed Sith Master Dara Shadowtide. He saw her exit

"Oh, she was here?", Xeno said to himself quirking a brow.

Xam had been suprized by his master's voice.. He didn't realize he did all of that.. Xam had to be more carefull with what other people say..

"I have sworn loyalty to the empire and I would never question it myself and as we are loyal to you, we are loyal to the empire and visa versa."

Perhaps it was a bad idea to gather all the apprentices.. Xam was thinking very fast.. Thinking of what happened and those words which continued to repeat in his mind..

Macros wasn't drunk enough to believe that Darkstar's threats were empty. He'd sworn loyalty to the Empire. Too him it need not be brought up again, and was surprised at his Master's reaction...

Staying among the shadows he siimply nodded his head solemnly, not wishin to let words fueled by alcohol get him in trouble.

He put his glass down. He ordered a water, there was no point stealing for it. Paying for it out of his aqquired money he began to sip it down, shaking his head to clear it as he did so.

Danya sighed as he questioned her and just as she was about to answer, her Master dismissed himself momentarily to reprimand her fellow Disciples. She knew that the others were not sincere in many things that they had said...and she was tired of it. She had pledged herself to TSE and to Lord DarkStar...and that was it...she did not need to prove herself to the others. Her eyes fell to the table and then to the glass of water before her. She took it in her hand and raised it to her lips...then let the cool liquid slide down her throat before she set it back upon the table. Her gaze shifted to her she awaited his return so that they could continue

Macros continued to drink his water, the spirit of the gathering crushed by his master. He sighed, bored now. Rising to his feet he glanced longingly at the exit.

He raised his glass, whispering to himself.

    "The Sith Empire"
