OOC: Since I'm on vacation, feel free to skip me in posting order so I don't delay the thread.

Nadgkema had taken the new girl with potential with her. They had traveled from Corellia to Ruusan, though she hadn't told her where they were going. She had made it clear that unless she was accepted by her peers, she wouldn't be given more details about the location.

Upon their arrival, she had blindfolded her and led her to the gardens where fellow Dark Jedi would come and question her. Once they had reached the place, she let her see again. "Someone will speak with you soon."

Without further ado, the member of the Penumbra disappeared behind trees. She would only return after slipping into her Dark Jedi persona.

Taking a deep breath to calm the butterflies in her stomach, Akahana allowed Nadgkema to blindfolded her and lead her off the ship to where-ever it was that they were going.

When the blindfold was removed the first thing she noticed was that she was standing in the middle of a garden she’d expect to see on the lands of a haunted house on Corellia. Everything had a sort of haunted beauty to it. It was wild and overgrown looking, but clearly tended to at the same time.

Akahana acknowledged Nadgkema words with a slight nod of her head. While she’d hopped that the woman would stay with her she hadn’t expected it. She had the feeling that she’d be facing whatever happened in these gardens on her own.

A man garbed completely in black robes with a worn hood moved through the halls, gloved hands holding what could only be a datapad, though looking heavily modified. The sound his hands made when clicking on the datapad was an unnatural sound, like metal on plastic.

Rel'Avauld Andross was taking reading of anomalies that were surrounding the area of their home. The disguised metal man was making sure that it wasn't him that was causing them, since all he 'needed' was another problem to solve.

After a few minutes, his scans brought him to the two women he had seemingly been unaware of, though he knew, and he tucked the pad away in his robes. It was only when he faced the two that his mask was visible.

"Ah, new blood, welcome, I suspect you are here because of a talent for a power greater than yourself? "

Nodding her head Akahana couldn't help but sign. *Are you planning on eating me or drinking my blood? Because that's a really creepy thing to say to someone you've just met.*

Akahana was known to ask stupid and sometimes ridiculous questions when she was nervous. It didn't help that the person who'd asked the question was wearing a really freaky mask that just made her wonder what sort of situation she'd gotten into.

*I'm Akahana, by the way.* She added after a moments pause.

Sign was one of the easier languages to decrypt, and the mechanical man underneath the hooded robe had no trouble understanding. Gloved hands revealed themselves from under the long sleeves of the robe and began to sign.

*Without lips to read, I am afraid this is how you and I will have to speak.*

Rel'Avauld did not know sign language, but it was in his databanks for languages, and thus all he had to do was program his hands to translate his thoughts for him into 'words' so to speak. There was absolutely no err in his attempt, and it seemed like he had known how to perfectly sign.

*Greetings Akahana, I am Rel'Avauld, but here I am called Andronium. Please tell me, why is it that you have come to this place? What is it that you know of it?*

Most of the people that Akahana had met in the past had no clue what she was trying to say when she spoke with her hands. And when they relised that she couldn't physically speak to them they'd treat like she was mentally impaired or just out right ignore her, so it was a plessant suprise when Andronium not only understood what she was saying but also replied in the same way.

*The Lady that brought me here, Kema, said that'd I'd meet other people who had similair gifts as me. She said that I might not be accepted, but at least I'd be given a chance, which is something that hasn't happened a lot in my life.* Akahana signed in anser to Androniums' question. *She didn't tell me much more than that. I don't even know what planet I'm on.*

Green orbs from behind the masks eye holes looked over to Nadgkema before returning to Akahana, trusting that this girl's claims were true if the woman brought her here. More input was needed though, to truly test to newcomer. Once again, the man's hands sign with perfect grace.

*Please, explain the special gifts you speak, or give me a demonstration. I would love to see or hear of them first hand so that I may judge for myself that your claims are true. Do not push yourself though, for if you do have a gift, it will be hard to control without training.*

OOC: Sorry about the wait. I got swamped with work and last minute assignments for school. So thankyou for being patient with me.

*I can sense emotions when I'm in a crowd and if I concentrait I can sometimes feel the indivdual emotions of other people, but I can get easily over whelmed by other people's emotions if I'm in a crowd and have nothing to anchor myself with. And I can hear people's heart beats. Like, for instance, I can hear your heat beat but I can't tell if it's a human heart beat or not.* Akahana signed in answer to Andronium questions.

Nadgkema had quickly returned, this time under her Dark Jedi attire, leaving only her eyes peering through the white and blue mask concealing her face. Her grey robes left her silhouette unrecognizable. She had remained in the shadow of a pillar, leaving Rel'Avauld question her for the time being.

When he spared a discreet glance in her direction, she gave a mental acknowledgement of what Akahana said, confirming she had indeed brought her here.

Rel'Avauld looked down at his chest, underneath the robe was a metallic frame, covering his mechanical lungs, and organs, all protecting one of the organs he still had one hundred percent of. He forgot sometimes that he still had it, and it was a small wakeup call to have someone tell him that they could hear it beat.

*An empath, of which there are many, and not necessarily a qualification for such abilities to be learned here, but individual focusing... Tell me, what do you know of the Force? Also, tell me what you know of the Jedi and the Sith?*

The mechanical man was starting to archive words as she signed them since he might jave to interact with her in the future, and added data, was added data in the end.

*Isn't that the life force thingy that keeps us all alive and connected?* Akahana asked.

*I think the Jedi and Sith are both a bunch of egotistical idiots.* Akahana signed. *The fact that they can't see that they need echother to even survive just says how little they understand of the universe. You can't just have good and no bad and you can't just have bad and no good, you need both for the other to exist.

The Sith would happily destroy the galaxy in their lust for power and personal validification and the Jedi are the biggest hypocrits in the galaxy. They go on and on about the corruption and evil of the Sith and can't even see the fires that they themselves created until it's too late to do anything about it, but be consumed by those flames. The Sith would just wipe themselves out before they even got a chance to anything but influence the galaxy for a select few years.*

Akahana had spent her time locked up reading the history of the galaxy from any source that she could get her hands on. She'd seen that patterns that emerged over and over again in the galaxy since the forming of the Jedi and Sith. She'd seen how when the Jedi became corrupt and set in their ways the Sith would come forth (either from one of the Jedi's own or an outside force) and force the Jedi to change or risk being wiped out and how each time the Sith came back they were stronger and more powerful to match the Jedi's own changes. It was subtle changes that happened each time, but if you looked hard enough it was hard not to notice.

Rel'Avauld nodded when he 'read' what she was 'saying', for there was a balance to be had, though the mechanical cloaked man may have had a different view with reason.

*You are correct in that there is a a balance that must be kept, but it might interest you to know that our group keeps that balance as well. The Galaxy has no need for Jedi or Sith with us taking the reigns, for we have members who are both righteous and malevolent, and a few who are both. We keep the true balance as the Force wishes, that you may soon learn. Now what do you beleive you can bring to our organization, if anything new or important, and which persona would fit you most, malevolent or righteous?*

Should she become one with the Penumbra, which she was doing well in applying so far, she would most likely some day see which category Rel'Avauld fell into.

*I'm always underestermated, either for my age or because I'm mute. I can hear better than any human, outside of someone who has had a bio-mechanical upgrade, that I've met. I can tell if someone is lieing just by the way their heart speeds up and the inflection of their voice changes ever so slightly.

I don't know how being an empath, as you called it, would bring anything to your organisation. I didn't even know that was what I was until I came here.* Akahana signed, pausing to try and figure out which catergory she would fall in, malevolent or righteous.

*I think at the moment I'd be righteous. I can be vindictive, but at the moment, I don't have it in me to be malevolent. Maybe when I'm older and circumstances have changed I might be malevolent. But at the moment where I am now, I'd just look like a child trying to play tough.* She signed feeling confident in her decision. *Besides I can be more effective playing the sweet and harmless little girl.*

She could just barely hear his heart skip a beat when she said ahe could tell when a person was lying by their heartbeat. Having an artificial voice and metallic body made it impossible for others to guess whether he was beibg truthful or not. This problem would have to be rectified with an upgrade, and soon.

*To make it in this Galaxy, you have to do what ever it takes for the greater good to be achieved. Sometimes being righteous is the path we must take to obtain peace, but often it takes a certain amount of malevolence to maintain it. Which brings me to my next question, what do you know of the Penumbra and it's goals?*

*Of course. Only an idiot would believe that you can maintain peace through diplomacy alone.* Akahana signed.

*I don't even know what a Penumbra is.* Taking a deep breathe Akahana review the conversation she'd had with Andronium, looking for any hint or information that he might have given her.

*From what I understand so far. You maintain the balance of the galaxy through any means necessary. While at the same you maintain your secrecy from the rest of the galaxy.*
