A wanderer from distant worlds
The man entered and stood in awe. It felt right coming here, he thought something inside him told him this is where he needed to be. Swinging his duffel over his shoulder he straigtened up to his extremely tall height and looked around his dark brown eyes wide in awe. The Jedi temple was all that he expected and more, he just stood there waiting and watching taking it all in.
ooc: I hope I'm doing this right.

"Greetings..." *A deep but comforting voice echoed through the large recruitement hall. As the newcomer turned around trying to find where the voice came from. A silohuette came out from behind one of the massive alabaster pilars in the room*
"I am Daunte Aidán, Padawan to Jedi Master Aura StarRider, may I help you in anyway?" *A friendly expression could be seen in Daunte's face, since he got here, his priority was to help those who could use his assitance in anyway*
OOC: You're doing great, just write, play and have fun.

Garm turned to address the man that had spoken to him, he bowed a formal Hapan greeting and relaxed his ramrod military posture slightly adjusting his battered uniform. He spoke in a low voice with a clipped, precise accent.
"Aye possibly you can. I am Garm Voltaire from Hapes. But to tell you the truth I don't know why I'm here. Something inside of me seems to draw me to this wonderful place. It's like nothing I've ever experienced, perhaps I am to become a Jedi, I don't know what my destiny has in store for me and hoped that someone here could put me on the right path."
He shrugged and calmly watched his surroundings wonderment finally fading from his dark eyes and being replaced by the haunted look he had accquired since leaving his homeworld.

Daunte listened to what the man had to say, he noticed the change of expression in his face, one of....sadness, if you wanna call it that.
"Righ path where? In order for you to take the right path, and be assisted, you need to know where you're going" The former imperial added in a solemn, still friendly, tone. And he was right, whenever you ask for directions on how to get somewhere, you need to get somewhere. The right way to Coruscant is of no use if you're heading to Hoth.

Garm nodded at the mans wisdom. He had met only a few Imperials in his life and this man did not seem to be like any of the others, perhaps that is why he has found a place here. Looking to the floor he spoke in a low tone.
" Since I have left my homeplanet I have felt empty inside, because I know I can never go back. I travelled here because the wisdom of the Jedi is well known and I seek their guidance to try to forget my past. I have been running away from it for far to long and I have decided to not run anymore. Perhaps there is a place for me in your order," he sighed and looked up. "Because as of now I have no other purpose."

"A runaway you say, huh?" Daunte looked at the man and smiled, for he too knew what it was to feel, not to belong anywhere.
"Care to deepen in the subject a little further? You will not be judged nor criticized, rather listened to." A smile was given to the newcomer, for Daunte did not only know what it felt like not belong somewhere, but to have that inmense void fill your soul with nothing but empryness, that had happened some time ago.
By doing so, he tried to make the hope-to-be Padawan a little more confortable and calm, as Aura's Padawan could sense the hopeful to be a bit nervous, regardless of the peace and confort the Jedi Temple reflects.

Garm knew that he could trust this person, so he told his tale.
" My whole life I grew up on Hapes and like my father before him I joined the Hapan Royal army at the age of sixteen. However the whole time I was training before my father passed away he always would tell me to trust my instincts and look with my heart not my eyes." Garm's jaw hardened and he felt a twinge of old pain from the memory.
"When he died I kept on moving through the ranks until I was given the honor of becoming a Hapan Elite Commando. Until I was twenty-three I served in the grand army obeying orders without question. Then one day during a routine take down of some pirate we discovered a group of children. My commanding officer ordered me to destroy the hangar regardless of the young ones." Garm's voice quivered as he spoke. "I refused to fire upon them, but my unit killed them anyway. I to be shot on site for disobeying orders and in a blind rage I killed my commander and six of my fellow soilders. Since then I now have a price on my head. I've come here to find peace and to protect others since I couldn't save those children."

Daunte could see himself reflected in Garm. So different...
Different but same.
"The cause you seek to join, to serve and to learn, indeed may provide you with what you seek. Your reason is more than noble. However the path you want to follow, so that your goal may be achieved, will be everything but easy. Are you aware of this?"
Aidan, paused for a second awaiting for the newcomer's reply.

Garm stiffened back into an erect military posture and bowed solemly.
"I realize that the road ahead will not be a easy one. And if accepted into the order I swear I will seek to do only good. And be a pillar of strength for those in the galaxy that need one to lean on. I have lived a hard path before and will stay the course."
He looked suddenly sad and said quietly, "For I have nothing left."

Daunte could see the determination in Garm's face. It seemed like he had what it takes to become a Jedi. However, it was not up to him to decide his future in SoTL. Though if it were for him, the newcomer, would be accepted with no hesitation.
"Seems you have what it takes to become a Jedi. However, the acceptance or denail of your membership in this glorious organizationl, is not my decision to make. A Jedi Master, should be with you shortly. Then your fate will be decided regarding the path of the Light Side of The Force."
Before the ex-Stormtrooper departed, he added one more thing.
"Is there anything else I can do for you? Or anything you would like to know?" That being said the former imperial awaited for a reply from the hopeful.

"No, thank you for all your help. I truly hope that we can work together in this oraganization later."
Garm gave a low Hapan bow
"Thank you again, it was a pleasure. As my people say, may the winds of life always blow fair for you Daunte Aidan."

"I'll be looking forward to." That was Daunte's response to Gram's comment about working together, seems the newcomer could be a valuable asset to the Jedi Academy if trained properly. Somehow Master StarRider's Padawan, knew he would see more of this hopeful.
"May those winds blow fair for you as well"
The former Imperial then nodded respectfully to the hope-to-be Jedi and left the same way he had entered.

Garm bowed and watched the man exit. I have come to the right place, he thought, and he relaxed slightly. Patiently he waited for a Jedi elder to meet with him. He knew that he would just be himself and if it was destined for him to become a jedi then it would be so, and if not he would simply help people in a different way.
