Questions
I have before been trained by Amalia Azalin on both the GJO and the Jedi Republic.
Since I am a newcomer here, do I need to retrain, or do I get to keep my old character?

Well, if I could have my way, I would not make you retrain, though it's up to everyone else to decide.
I know you're capable of the rank of Jedi Knight, but seeing as how this is a different galaxy, it may not be allowed.
So if you are not given that title, the best I hope that you do get, instead, is that you won't have to retrain.

If he was in GJO with an established character which was in the TSE galaxy when we were at the old vBulletin galaxy, then he can transfer just like you did since you were in GJO, right Amalia? If he's coming from a completely separate roleplay universe/chats, etc. then yes, retraining would have to occur. This is my two cents anyway.. *shrugs*

Yes, I was, but the only problem is is that he was never given the rank of Jedi Knight at GJO. I had brought the question up of him having trials within the temple, but some did not agree with the idea. He ended up leaving GJO, going to a different galaxy all together.
Because of the way things go here, I'd understand if he is not given the rank, but I'd prefer that he not have to redo his training because he did complete his basic training over at GJO. I can find you the links if you would like, but they would be at the very old board, not the new one for vBulletin(unless they were moved there and I don't know it)

Im sorry, but I left because I was ignored for the most part at the GJO. And some members did not role play correct, or at least in the rules that Ive used in several Role Playing communities.
I can also have Darth Varlon of the Sith(TKrys) vouch for my role playing abilities.

Im patient. I would have posted here sooner, but my account wasnt working, and I just got busy with life and trying t get into a college(which I did) and find a nice paying stable job.

Tom, I can understand why you left the GJO, as my reasons were similar.
I have no objections for him to reach Knighthood in the near future.
Tess, though this is a different universe, he did train on a board, so should be given some consideration. How about giving him trials to become a Knight? This way perhaps both would be satisfied.
If more feel like Tom in the GJO, then maybe he could do us a favor and steer some in our direction. Not to use him or anything, but I was in the GJO, and if any 'using' is going or was going on, it was within that group itself.

Well, I already have a thread going in the battleground for Thomas, it's best to introduce his character and how he came to find his way to SOTL. I realize a lot of people may or may not question his rank here, so some type of plot should be played out as to how he got here and who he is.
I was given suggestions for a thread for Thomas, but I'm still unsure of what I am going to do with that thread. Suppose I'll just take it one step at a time and see where it leads me.

Hm.. well maybe I didn't say it clearly enough, lol, but I meant that since he was in GJO and we took GJO transfers here with their current experience level.. that tomduo could come in and get the overdue promotion he should have had at GJO under Amalia there. *hopes that made more sense* lol

Amalia thinks that when Azrael posts in the recruitment center that he should post with his Jedi name. OOC posts are acceptable from Azrael or by Talus in an ooc fashion if Azrael/Talus wishes so, but Amalia would prefer that Azrael/Talus would post with Azrael in the recruitment area, even if it is OOC.
Amalia would be most appreciative if her request was granted. However, Amalia would understand if Azrael/Talus did not grant her request.
