Keiryn was starving... he had just arrived earlier in the day after not having eaten the previous two. Physically he was feeling much better after the services of the medical droid in the Great Hall, but he needed to eat. After finishing his conversation with Keeva, Black asked a couple of different people in the Great Hall where he could eat and they both had mentioned this place.

The warmth inside the Mountain Side Tavern was a welcome reprieve from the blustering winds outside. The man found his way to a dimly lit booth in the corner and sat down to look at a menu.

Jacob walked into the Tavern tired out today from practice. That, and, he wasn't sleeping much still these days. Even though Caltin had spoken with him about it saying that the teen Jedi Apprentice shouldn't listen to what others think and think of only what he could say or think of his dad. But, he couldn't help it. He was plagued with nightmares of the worst about his father. So, as he walked up to the counter, the teen looked up at Tom with an exhaused look on his face and Tom raised an eyebrow.

"Woah, Junior, you look exhausted, buddy." Tom said in a gruff but soft voice, "Nightmares again?"

"Yeah, sadly. They keep plaguing me to no end." Jacob replied back rubbing his eyes, then his temples, "I'll take some stimcaf if you don't mind."

"Sure thing, buddy. Man you keep growing. Gonna be as tall as your dear old dad." Tom said giving the young Jedi a wink then going to fetch his stimcaf.

Jacob took one look around seeing the dim light corner walking to the table behind another one which was taken. The teen didn't care that he couldn't get the exact corner one. As long as he could drink his stimcaf he was content. So as he sat down on it he then sighed. Well, another day, and another possible adventure. All in a days work for a Jedi Apprentice.

Keiryn cocked an eyebrow over the top of the menu he was still looking over. The guy who just sat down seemed awfully young to be as exhausted as he appeared to be. "Rough day?" Keiryn asked.

It wasn't his standard operating procedure to start up conversation, but something about the younger man in the next booth jumped out as a person needing an ear to listen. Keiryn wasn't good for a whole lot of things at the moment, but he could listen with the best of them.

Jacob nodded, "Yeah. Rough night too."

The teen then took a few sips of his caf before looking around. He figured he'd see one of his other friends at the Tavern, or, at least his mom. Being that he hadn't visited the house which was located not far from here the Apprentice should have. Maybe he'd stop by on his way back to the Temple.

"I'm Jacob." Jacob said nodding to Keiryn, "New here I take it?"

Keiryn watched the teen with interest. You could learn so much by simply watching a person and how they carried themselves. Hearing the introduction and question, Keiryn smiled slightly before responding. "Nice to meet you Jacob. I'm Keiryn and yes I'm fresh out of Hyperspace."

The older man closed his menu with a frown and laid it down on the table before him. "What's good here? I'm starving but everything on the menu seems to jump out at me and I just can't make a decision that way." That wasn't completely true, the bantha steak did sound particularly delicious but this seemed like as good of a way to spur a conversation as anything else.
